An experienced technology lawyer with over 12 years’ experience in Big Law, Laura Holden has recently re-focused her career towards Responsible AI consultancy. Over the past few years, she had the privilege of working closely with industry giants such as Unilever and Diageo to shape and implement their global responsible AI frameworks. In her role as global interim GC for growth and marketing at Unilever, Laura co-led the development of Unilever’s Responsible AI governance programme, rolling out their Responsible AI policies, processes, contracts and training across Unilever’s global teams. At Diageo, Laura is advising the global legal, procurement and marketing teams on a similar project, to build effective AI triage processes, policies, guidance, contractual clauses and training. Laura offers legal and AI consulting services through her company, Bonsai. Helping companies to “Simplify Responsible AI”, Bonsai supports companies to navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape, reduce risk and drive innovation, with a focus on practical advice, templates and training based on industry best practice.
